Backend Developer

As a backend developer, you'll play a vital role in our complex digitalization journey, developing algorithms and prototypes to support our initiatives. This position will report to the Managing Director of BASF Care Chemicals Digital and Global Leader of Digitalization at Care Chemicals. QUALIFICATIONS At least 5+ years professional experience in a similar position, building confidence as a software engineer with broad knowledge of state-of-the-art technologies, preferably in an agile environment Professional knowledge in EAI and Microservice architecture professional knowledge in Java>=17 Professional knowledge in SpringBoot2.x Professional knowledge in Spring-modules like Spring-Data, Spring-Integration, Spring-Batch, Spring-Security Professional knowledge in persistence technology (JPA2, Hibernate) Knowledge in (No-) SQL databases (PostgreSQL, MongoDB) Experience with automated testing (e.g. Junit and Integration tests) Experience in event-driven architecture (e.g. ServiceBus, RabbitMQ, Kafka) Azure DevOps Experience: knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices ADVANTAGES OF DEVELOPING IT CAREER AT BASF Joining our company means working with state-of-the-art equipment, software, and the most advanced technologies available, such as generative AI, Machine Learning and Quantum Computing.
