Full Stack Engineer

Bacon Group is a multidepartment filmhouse based in Copenhagen with offices in Oslo and Stockholm. We work with fiction, documentaries, commercials and have a dedicated VFX arm. The newly started Bacon Labs is growing and needs developers and engineers. Cinetune is our EU-funded project (Creative Europe MEDIA) building the tool we kept wishing existed: an AI Gateway that lets film productions use generative AI without losing control of their footage, their rights or their paperwork. Every AI operation on a production runs through the Gateway, gets logged, and comes out as a provable AI-use sheet. We build it inside live productions, not in a lab. What you'd doYou'd be the person building the Gateway, working directly with our product owner, QA lead and pipeline architect: Backend services and the Gateway API — routing AI operations, capturing the logging and provenance record behind every run Deployment, monitoring and reproducible environments (EU cloud, and on-prem patterns for productions that can't send footage anywhere) Connectors into the tools artists actually use — ComfyUI, Nuke, Resolve — so the Gateway sits inside existing pipelines rather than next to them The data and endpoints the Workspace runs on: dashboards, review panels and AI-use sheet exports are designed by our UI/UX lead, and you make sure there's something solid underneath them What we're looking forStrong backend engineering (Python and/or TypeScript), comfortable owning an API end to end and shipping it somewhere real. Enough infrastructure instinct to deploy and monitor your own work. You'll partner closely with our UI/UX lead rather than owning the interface yourself, though comfort working close to the frontend helps. You don't need a film background, but you do need curiosity about how film production works, because the constraints are strange and non-negotiable. Interest in AI/ML tooling is a plus; interest in provenance and traceability is a bigger one.
