Staff Software Engineer- Server Infrastructure & Automation Optomi, in partnership with a leading organization in the transportation and logistics industry, is seeking a Staff Software Engineer – Server Infrastructure & Automation to join their team in a fully remote role with quarterly travel. This individual will be responsible for developing software solutions, automating infrastructure operations, and modernizing enterprise server environments. The ideal candidate will have strong software engineering experience with Python, Ansible, Windows and Linux environments, and infrastructure automation technologies. Responsibilities of the right candidate: Design and develop software solutions to automate enterprise server infrastructure operations. Build automation tools using Python, Ansible, and Infrastructure-as-Code technologies. Modernize legacy Windows and Linux server environments to improve efficiency and reliability. Develop automated monitoring, troubleshooting, and incident response solutions. Collaborate with engineering teams to support server infrastructure modernization and lifecycle management. Experience of the right candidate: 10+ years of experience in software engineering, with a focus on infrastructure automation. Strong programming experience with Python, Go, Java, or similar languages. Hands-on experience with Ansible, Terraform, and Infrastructure-as-Code technologies. Experience automating and modernizing enterprise Windows and Linux server environments. Strong understanding of server infrastructure, data center operations, and hardware lifecycle management.
