Software Engineer (RoR) | Remote (Brazil, Argentina, Colombia, Bolivia and Mexico) | Velozient -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- About the Role We are looking for a full-time, remote Staff Software Engineer (Ruby on Rails) with 8+ years of software engineering experience, including 5+ years building and maintaining production Ruby on Rails applications. Required Experience - Excellent English communication skills - 8+ years of professional software engineering experience, including 5+ years building and maintaining production Ruby on Rails applications, with examples of hands-on delivery and technical leadership. - Deep Ruby and Rails expertise, relational data modeling, SQL, and PostgreSQL or a comparable database, including experience evolving production architecture incrementally. - Experience creating user interfaces with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and a modern frontend approach. - Experience leading complex initiatives across multiple engineers, resolving dependencies, and taking work from an ambiguous brief through a successful release.
