Software Engineer (Build Systems) at BairesDev As a Software Engineer specializing in Build Systems, you will focus on architecting and maintaining the core infrastructure that powers large-scale software delivery. You will streamline development workflows by optimizing monorepo tooling and ensuring that build processes are both fast and reproducible. What You'll Do: - Architect and manage high-performance build systems tailored for large-scale monorepos. - Implement and maintain hermetic build environments to ensure consistent and reproducible results across the organization. - Optimize CI/CD pipelines to reduce lead times and improve developer productivity through advanced caching and task orchestration. - Collaborate with engineering teams to enforce modular boundaries and dependency management standards within shared codebases. - Monitor and analyze build performance metrics to proactively identify and resolve bottlenecks in the delivery lifecycle. - Develop custom tooling and automation to simplify complex integration and release processes. What we are looking for: - 4+ years of experience in Software Engineering, Build Engineering, or DevOps. - Proven expertise in designing and managing large-scale build systems using Bazel. - Strong experience with monorepo tooling and build performance optimization. - Proficiency in implementing hermetic builds and CI optimization using Buildkite or similar tools. - Deep understanding of dependency management and incremental build caching. - Advanced proficiency in English.
