We're building an AI-native product engineering business focused on engineering excellence, innovation, and scalable solutions. 💻 About the Role We're looking for a Data Engineer to design, build, and maintain scalable data architectures, pipelines, and cloud-based data platforms. You'll work closely with Data Scientists, engineers, and stakeholders to ensure data is reliable, accessible, and ready for analysis and modelling. Using technologies such as Python, SQL, and dbt, you'll help optimise data workflows, implement quality controls, and turn prototypes into production-ready solutions. 🛠️ Key Responsibilities Design, build, test, and maintain scalable data pipelines and cloud-based data warehouses using dbt. Develop and optimise ETL/ELT processes for data ingestion and transformation. Support Data Scientists by providing reliable data for analysis, modelling, and development. Implement automated data quality checks to ensure accuracy and integrity. Perform exploratory data analysis to validate datasets and support decision-making. Turn proof-of-concept projects into scalable, production-ready solutions. Create technical documentation and reports for stakeholders. Collaborate with technical and non-technical teams to deliver effective data solutions. Apply best practices in testing, version control, deployment, and data governance. 🎯 Requirements 3–5 years of experience in Data Engineering or a similar role. Strong proficiency in Python, including Pandas, NumPy, and Streamlit. Advanced SQL skills and experience with data modelling. Strong understanding of ETL/ELT processes and data pipeline optimisation. Experience with dbt and familiarity with orchestration tools such as Apache Airflow. Experience with Git and collaborative development workflows. Familiarity with cloud platforms and data technologies such as AWS, Azure, Snowflake, or GCP. Understanding of automated testing, CI/CD, and Agile delivery practices. Bachelor's or Master's degree in Data Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. ⭐ Nice to Have Experience with Snowflake Marketplace, BigQuery, or Databricks. Knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud-based data services. Familiarity with Power BI or Tableau. Experience building and deploying APIs. Understanding of data governance, certification, security, and compliance.
