IT Automation & Software Developer (with IT Onboarding Support) Full-Time, Australian Business Hours, Remote (Philippines) Cruise Control Group is looking for a hands-on IT Automation & Software Developer to build the internal tools and automations that keep our business running efficiently — while making sure every new remote professional has a smooth, fully set-up Day 1. About the Role This is an internal role with Cruise Control Group, reporting to the Head of Operations, and sits at the centre of our technology function. The majority of your time will be spent on automation and software development initiatives that improve our internal work tools and operational efficiency. The balance of the role covers IT support through our ticketing/helpdesk system and IT onboarding for newly placed remote professionals, ensuring every laptop is configured and ready on Day 1. Key Responsibilities Automation & Software Development Design, build and maintain automation solutions that streamline internal processes and reduce manual work across the business. Lead software development initiatives to improve and extend Cruise Control Group's internal work tools and platforms. Identify process inefficiencies and propose practical, technology-driven improvements. Develop and manage workflows and integrations within the Microsoft Azure and Microsoft 365 ecosystem. Document solutions, scripts and system configurations so they can be supported and scaled. IT Support & Onboarding Respond to, troubleshoot and resolve IT tickets through the helpdesk/ticketing system within agreed timeframes. Coordinate IT onboarding and ongoing support for remote professionals working with Australian clients. Ensure laptops for newly onboarded remote professionals are set up, enrolled and ready for use on Day 1. Deliver IT onboarding sessions for new remote professionals, covering devices, accounts, access and security basics. Act as the liaison between the device provider and the IT partner on deliveries, setup, repairs and replacements. Oversee IT maintenance and liaise with relevant stakeholders to agree solutions on IT-related matters. What We're Looking For Essential Skills Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure, Microsoft 365 administration and Microsoft Intune device management. Strong scripting and/or programming ability for building automations and internal tools. Solid IT troubleshooting skills across Windows devices, user accounts and access issues. Experience working within an IT ticketing/helpdesk system. Clear written and verbal English communication, comfortable explaining technical topics to non-technical users. Strong organisation and stakeholder coordination skills across vendors, partners and internal teams. Essential Experience Proven experience in software development or IT automation. Experience in IT support, device provisioning and user onboarding. Willingness to split time between development work and hands-on IT support and onboarding. Desirable Experience Experience supporting a distributed or fully remote workforce. Experience working with Australian businesses or within an offshore staffing environment.
