Oracle Data Programmer

We are looking for an experienced Oracle Data Programmer to join a global organisation working on complex, enterprise-scale data and reporting solutions. This is a hands-on technical role focused on the development and maintenance of Oracle databases, data models and data pipelines. You will work on technically interesting projects involving large and complex datasets, developing reliable database solutions and supporting the continued enhancement of enterprise reporting platforms. Key Responsibilities - Develop and maintain Oracle SQL and PL/SQL solutions - Build and enhance complex relational data models - Develop and maintain data pipelines and ETL/ELT processes - Use Python for data processing, transformation, validation and automation - Perform data quality checks and resolve data inconsistencies - Support database performance tuning and optimisation - Develop and maintain datasets supporting reporting and analytics - Support release preparation, testing and deployment - Troubleshoot database and data-related issues - Produce clear technical documentation - Work closely with Data Architects and other technical specialists to deliver scalable and reliable solutions Key Skills & Experience - Strong commercial experience with Oracle databases, SQL and PL/SQL - Good knowledge of relational database design and data modelling - Experience with ETL/ELT, data integration and data pipelines - Experience working with data warehouses, data marts or similar enterprise data environments - Python experience for data processing or automation - Strong understanding of data quality and validation - Good analytical and problem-solving skills - Experience working with complex enterprise datasets - Structured and detail-oriented approach to development Desirable Experience - Power BI or similar reporting/BI tools - Oracle APEX - Informatica PowerCenter or similar ETL tools - Scheduling or workflow/orchestration technologies - Snowflake or cloud-based data platforms - Experience with large-scale data migration or integration projects The Opportunity This is an excellent opportunity for an Oracle Developer or Data Engineer who enjoys working with complex data, custom-built database solutions and technically challenging projects.
