About The Role As a QA Automation Engineer, you will play a critical role in enhancing product quality by developing and maintaining automated testing solutions for user interfaces, APIs, integrations, and data. You will collaborate closely with engineering and delivery teams to identify defects, improve test coverage, and integrate automated tests into continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines. This role requires a strong technical background and a passion for quality assurance in an Agile environment. Key responsibilities include developing and executing UI and API automation test suites using Java, Selenium WebDriver, and REST Assured, creating detailed test plans and cases based on business and technical requirements, validating application functionality and system integrations, and supporting continuous testing practices. You will also analyze test results, investigate defects, and work collaboratively with engineering teams to ensure timely resolution of issues. Qualifications Minimum of 4 years of hands-on experience in quality assurance, software testing, and test automation. Proficiency in Java programming language. Experience with Selenium WebDriver for UI automation testing. Experience using REST Assured for API testing. Strong knowledge of REST API testing, including HTTP methods and JSON payload handling. Experience with database testing using SQL or other database testing tools. Familiarity with Java testing frameworks such as JUnit or TestNG. Experience integrating automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines. Working knowledge of Git and version control best practices. Experience working within Agile delivery environments. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, collaboration, and communication skills. Preferred Qualifications Ability to validate complex system integrations and data flows. Responsibilities Develop, maintain, and execute automated UI and API test suites using Java, Selenium WebDriver, and REST Assured. Create comprehensive test plans, test scenarios, and test cases aligned with business and technical requirements. Validate application functionality, system integrations, APIs, and data across multiple testing stages. Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines to support continuous testing practices. Investigate defects, analyze test results, and collaborate with engineering teams to resolve issues efficiently. Participate actively in Agile ceremonies and contribute to continuous improvement of testing processes. Maintain clear and detailed documentation of test cases, results, and defect reports.
