Senior Java Developer - Profrakt, Cyprus Profrakt is a Norwegian logistics-tech company that negotiates freight agreements and manages carrier relationships for e-commerce businesses of every size, from new startups to established brands. We negotiate freight agreements for more than 1,500 online stores and businesses in Norway, and we are now expanding into Sweden. By pooling our customers’ combined volume, we get better prices than they could get alone. Customers deal with one partner and one agreement instead of many, while still getting access to carriers such as Bring, PostNord, Helthjem, Porterbuddy, Instabox and UPS. We build all our software in-house and see ourselves more as a tech company than a freight company. This role is part of our team in Cyprus. About the platform The Profrakt Portal is our customers’ daily workspace. Through it, businesses book B2C and B2B shipments, from small parcels to pallets and heavy goods, and let the system pick the best carrier for each shipment based on price, speed and service. They print shipping labels, including cloud printing directly to connected label printers. They track shipments and search, filter and export their shipment history. They also create returns, book pickups, manage a customer register, their account and a customizable dashboard, and handle invoicing, shipment inquiries and support requests. About the role As the platform grows, we are moving selected backend services from Python to Java/Spring Boot. You’ll play a central part in that migration and make sure customers never notice it happening. You’ll also turn quickly built features into reliable production services and improve the data layer behind pricing, booking, tracking and invoicing.
