Verification Engineer – Embedded Platform Software

Then this could be your next opportunity. ALTEN is now looking for a Verification Engineer for an assignment towards one of our clients within the automotive industry. In this role, you will work with the verification of platform software running on ECUs and High-Performance Computers (HPC), ensuring quality, performance, and reliability throughout the development process. About the role As a Verification Engineer, you will be part of a platform team responsible for developing and integrating platform software consisting of AUTOSAR components, RTOS-based applications, and graphical applications running on Yocto and Qt/QML. You will work closely with software developers, architects, suppliers, and project stakeholders to define verification strategies, execute testing activities, and secure delivery quality. The role combines test development, automation, troubleshooting, and system validation in both simulated and real-world environments. Main responsibilities Develop and execute verification plans for platform software components Design, implement, and maintain automated test cases at unit and integration level Define and execute verification strategies together with cross-functional teams Perform root cause analysis of test failures and support issue resolution Validate software using simulation tools, test rigs, and vehicle environments Document test results and create verification reports Ensure traceability between requirements and test activities Contribute to continuous improvements of verification methods and processes Collaborate closely with suppliers and internal development teams Your profile You are a structured and analytical engineer who enjoys solving technical challenges and working in a collaborative environment. You have a strong interest in embedded software, system validation, and test automation. We see that you have: B.Sc. or M.Sc. in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering, or equivalent Experience in software verification and validation within embedded systems Experience with .NET / CANoe configuration Knowledge of automotive communication protocols such as CAN, LIN, Ethernet, DoIP, SOME/IP, Stomp, or VLAN Experience working with embedded Linux and RTOS environments Experience working with automated testing frameworks and verification activities Fluent in English, both written and spoken Meritorious: Experience with QNX OS and Hypervisor Experience with AUTOSAR-based systems Experience with Jenkins, SystemD, NetSim, or Google Test Experience working with ECUs or High-Performance Computing (HPC) platforms We warmly welcome your application!
