Privacy Policy

This policy explains what VagasLume (vagaslume.tech) collects about you, what for, and what rights you have over that data, in accordance with the Brazilian General Data Protection Law (LGPD). Written in plain language — no generic clauses that do not reflect what the site actually does.

1. Browsing without an account

Searching and viewing jobs does not require signing up. Even without an account, we automatically collect:

• Usage analytics — pages visited, searches made, clicks on "Apply", via Google Analytics 4 and Vercel Analytics. It does not include name or email — from the point of view of these tools, it is aggregated/anonymous traffic.
• Advertising cookie — a Google Ads conversion tag, used only if you arrived at the site through one of our ads, to measure whether the ad worked.

2. Creating an account

To use alerts, applications, saved jobs or upload a résumé, we ask for:

• Name and email — account identification and sending emails (sign-up confirmation, password reset, job alerts).
• Password — stored as a hash by Supabase (our authentication provider); we never store the password in plain text, nor do we have access to it.

Authentication itself runs entirely on Supabase — a session cookie keeps you logged in between visits.

3. What you add voluntarily

• Résumé — if you upload a PDF file, it is stored (Vercel Blob Storage) tied to your account; the text is extracted locally on the server only to fill in your profile, without going through any external AI service.
• Manual profile — experiences, technologies and preferences you type in, used to suggest jobs that match you within the site itself.
• Alerts — the filters you configure (technology, work model, seniority) to receive new jobs by email.
• Applications and saved/hidden jobs — which jobs you marked, visible only to you.

4. Who your data is shared with

No data is sold. We share it with providers that operate the site infrastructure, each one only with what it needs to do its part:

• Supabase — database and authentication.
• Vercel — site hosting, résumé file storage (Vercel Blob) and performance analytics.
• Google (Analytics and Ads) — usage and campaign metrics, according to Google's own privacy policy.
• Resend — sending transactional emails (sign-up confirmation, password reset, job alerts).

When you click "Apply", you are redirected to the job's original site — from there on, what happens to your data follows that site's privacy policy, not ours.

5. How long we keep it

As long as your account exists. If you delete your résumé through the interface, it is removed from storage. To delete the entire account (login, profile, alerts, applications, résumé — everything, permanently), use the "Delete my account" button in My Dashboard — deletion happens immediately, without waiting for a reply from us. 6. Your rights (LGPD)

You may, at any time, request:

• confirmation of which of your data we hold;
• correction of incomplete or outdated data;
• deletion of your data/account — self-service, see section 5 above;
• export of your data in a readable format;
• withdrawal of consent (e.g., stop receiving email alerts — you can pause/delete each alert directly on the Alertspage, without contacting us).

For data confirmation, correction or export, write to [email protected] from the email registered on your account — we reply as soon as possible.

7. Cookies

We use session cookies (login) and analytics/advertising cookies (Google Analytics, Google Ads). You can block cookies in your browser settings — login stops working without the session cookie, but browsing/searching jobs continues as normal.

8. Changes to this policy

We may update this document as the site changes. The date at the top always reflects the latest version — see also the Terms and Conditions of Use.
