Software Engineer - Crypto Data Foundations

For our client, we are seeking a Software Engineer - Crypto Data Foundations to join the team of a leader in the Finance & Insurance space. This role will focus on building the distributed systems that power real-time blockchain data ingestion and indexing. You will help shape the architecture that supports new chain integrations, improved performance, and reliable data delivery across the platform. The position also partners closely with product and platform teams to define data contracts and contribute to SDKs that support broader engineering efforts. Location: Remote Compensation: $152,405 – $179,300 annually Responsibilities Build and operate distributed systems for real-time blockchain data ingestion and indexing Drive key initiatives such as new chain integrations and performance improvements Collaborate with product and platform teams to define data contracts and contribute to SDKs Implement architecture and performance enhancements across the indexing stack Ensure engineering quality through code reviews and testing, leveraging AI tools Qualifications 2+ years of software engineering experience in distributed or data systems Strong understanding of systems design principles, including partitioning and consistency trade-offs Proficiency in backend languages such as Go and/or Python, with familiarity in Kafka, gRPC, Redis, S3, ClickHouse, or MongoDB Ability to transform ambiguous problems into clear designs and effective solutions Experience with blockchain or crypto data is advantageous, including knowledge of chain data structures and RPC nodes Responsible use of generative AI to enhance workflow efficiency and quality Benefits Medical, dental, and vision insurance 401(k) retirement plan Equity and bonus eligibility Our client is an equal opportunity employer.
