About the job

Looking for a co-founder: sales and marketing, B2B SaaS, low ticket (equity only)

What this is. A list hygiene and deliverability tool for Mailchimp senders. It connects to a Mailchimp account, finds the contacts you pay for but can't reach, archives them with your approval (reversible), and reports what that does to your bill and your sender reputation. Low ticket: $9/19/custom a month, with agencies managing many client accounts as the bigger prize.

Where we are. V1 is live and used by early users who give feedback every week. Everything below is built and in production:

  • Core audit and archiving engine, with scheduled recurring runs
  • Reports: cost, reputation, newsletter trends, with an AI layer that explains the numbers
  • Auth, billing and checkout (Lemon Squeezy), plans and limits
  • Affiliate program with tracking, commissions and monthly payouts
  • Background jobs that scale to large accounts
  • SEO foundation: landing pages, calculator, a blog in two languages
  • Product analytics with PostHog

What we don't have: distribution. Cold email brought the first users.

The product is ahead of the go-to-market, and that is the job.

What you would own. The whole commercial side, as a founder, not as an employee waiting for direction:

  • Define and test the ideal customer: ecommerce stores, newsletters, or agencies, and pick where to double down
  • Talk to users every week and turn what you hear into priorities for the product
  • Build channels that don't depend on cold email: partnerships with agencies and Mailchimp experts, communities, content, referrals
  • Grow the affiliate program from a feature into a channel
  • Own pricing and packaging experiments
  • Challenge the idea. If the wedge is wrong, say so, with data

Who you are.

  • You have sold B2B software before, ideally low ticket and self-serve, where volume and funnel matter more than a single enterprise deal
  • You can run founder-led sales and founder-led marketing at the same time: outreach, calls, content, partnerships
  • You write well in English and are comfortable posting under your own name
  • You can work with a technical co-founder as an equal: you bring the market, I bring the product, we decide together

Big plus. You know email marketing from the inside: deliverability, sender reputation, how agencies manage Mailchimp or Klaviyo for clients. If you already have a network of agencies or newsletter operators, this gets much faster.

What I bring. I'm the technical founder. I built everything above alone, I ship weekly, and I will keep doing so. I have run the outreach so far, so you inherit real data: about 7,000 contacts emailed, what worked, what didn't, and two users who got on calls and send feedback.

The deal. Equity only. No salary until there is revenue to pay one. Co-founder equity in the range of 27% to 50%, 4-year vesting with a 1-year cliff. We start with a 60 to 90 day trial with one concrete goal, for example ten new active users, before signing anything. That protects both of us.

Not for you if you need income now, you want a marketing manager role with a roadmap handed to you, or you are looking for a "growth hacker" gig. This is a founder seat in a pre-revenue company.

How to reach out. Send a short note with: one thing you have sold and how, what you would do in the first 30 days here, and one reason you think this idea might be wrong. I reply to every message
