AI Data Scientist

For our client, we are seeking a AI Data Scientist to join the team of a leader in the Information Technology space. This role will focus on advancing intelligent capabilities across the company’s platform through applied machine learning, NLP, and Generative AI. You will help turn open-ended technical challenges into scalable, production-ready solutions that improve model quality and support a wide range of customer use cases. The position partners closely with technical teams to design rigorous experiments, evaluate model performance, and drive continuous improvement from research through deployment. Location: Remote Compensation: $130,000 – $160,000 annually Responsibilities Research and evaluate emerging NLP, machine learning, deep learning, and Generative AI techniques Investigate ambiguous technical problems, form hypotheses, and run comparative experiments Design and build NLP, statistical ML, deep learning, and transformer-based solutions Develop data pipelines and establish data-quality strategies for evolving use cases Develop and evaluate LLM and GenAI solutions, optimizing models based on various criteria Design rigorous experiments and benchmarks to measure and improve systems Take NLP and AI solutions from research to production deployment and ongoing optimization Qualifications Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Computational Linguistics, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related field; Ph.D. preferred 10+ years of experience in data science, machine learning, NLP, or AI with hands-on experience in deploying NLP and/or GenAI solutions Proven track record of taking ML, NLP, or GenAI solutions from experimentation to production Ability to translate open-ended research into practical outcomes Excellent communication skills with experience as a senior contributor across technical teams Benefits Hybrid work model available in Houston or fully remote in Canada Opportunity to influence product intelligence and model quality for thousands of customers Mentorship opportunities to elevate team standards and practices Work alongside a talented team dedicated to solving complex problems Engage in a culture of curiosity, scientific rigor, and continuous learning Our client is an equal opportunity employer.
