About The Role We are seeking a Software Engineer to design, develop, test, and maintain software solutions that meet user and business needs. In this role, you will work with engineers, product partners, designers, and other stakeholders to turn requirements into reliable, maintainable applications. You will contribute throughout the software development lifecycle, from exploring technical approaches and implementing features to reviewing code, troubleshooting issues, and improving existing systems. The ideal candidate brings sound engineering judgment, curiosity, and a practical approach to solving problems. You should be comfortable communicating technical ideas, adapting to changing priorities, and working independently while staying connected to a collaborative team. Qualifications Applicants should have professional experience in software development or a comparable record of delivering software projects. A degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field is welcome but is not required when equivalent experience can be demonstrated. You should be familiar with at least one modern programming language and have a working understanding of data structures, algorithms, object-oriented or functional design principles, and common software development practices. Successful candidates can write clear, maintainable code; investigate defects systematically; and participate constructively in code reviews. Experience with version control, automated testing, APIs, databases, and cloud-based or distributed systems is beneficial. We also value clear written and verbal communication, attention to detail, a commitment to learning, and the ability to manage work responsibly in a team environment. Familiarity with Agile or other iterative development approaches is an advantage. Responsibilities Design, build, test, and maintain software features in line with product requirements and engineering standards. Collaborate with teammates and stakeholders to clarify goals, assess technical options, estimate work, and identify dependencies or risks. Write readable, reusable code and develop appropriate unit, integration, or other automated tests. Review code, share constructive feedback, and incorporate feedback from peers. Investigate bugs and performance concerns, identify root causes, and implement durable fixes. Help improve application reliability, security, accessibility, and maintainability. Document technical decisions and relevant system behavior so others can understand and support your work. Participate in planning, stand-ups, retrospectives, and other team discussions as appropriate. Keep current with relevant tools and practices, and recommend improvements that can strengthen engineering processes and the quality of delivered products.
