Software Quality Engineer

At Quality Assurance Department, we are responsible for providing developers with tools, frameworks and expertise to help them produce clean and quality code. We own the test automation, code quality and supply-chain security of our insurance platform. Once you’re here, you will: Demonstrate healthy modern engineering practices by writing clean, well-tested, and well-refactored code with the team, shipping it into production Build and maintain test frameworks and infrastructure: UI tests (Playwright), API tests, configuration tests, and performance tests (k6) Design test scenarios and acceptance tests for complex business flows and performance testing Run and improve code quality and security tooling: static analysis (SonarQube), dependency and supply-chain security (Dependency-Track, SBOM, Trivy) and dynamic security testing (ZAP) Build CI/CD pipelines and test environments in GitLab, on Docker and Kubernetes Use AI coding assistants in daily work, and help the team adopt them for test generation and automation Work with developers, product management and design teams on technical implementation and user scenarios Work with DevOps and deployment teams to resolve issues, using monitoring and test reporting (Grafana, Kibana, ReportPortal) Communicate proactively, constructively and openly across teams and departments Help set the strategic direction for testing, with guidance, feedback and suggestions that improve quality practices across the whole engineering team Keep up to date with industry trends in development, testing and security Technologies: TypeScript, JavaScript, Node.js (npm/Yarn), .NET, Angular, Playwright, k6, GitLab CI/CD, Docker, Kubernetes, SonarQube, Dependency-Track Databases: SQL Server, Oracle, PostgreSQL. What you need to be successful: Background: Technical experience in development and quality engineering Skills: Strong coding, design and analytical skills, especially in TypeScript/JavaScript Experience building test automation (UI and API) and maintaining test frameworks Experience with enterprise application development (.NET, TypeScript, Angular) Strong SQL and database skills (SQL Server, Oracle, PostgreSQL) Experience with CI/CD pipelines and containers. Understanding of cloud infrastructure (Azure, Kubernetes) Love for continuously improving existing processes and business flows Ability to spot repeatable processes and automate them quickly Common sense, so you can quickly connect the key factors in a problem Excellent English Desired skills: Experience with application security tooling (SAST, SCA/SBOM, DAST) and the OWASP practices Experience with performance testing and observability tools Hands-on use of AI coding assistants in software development Experience with Scrum and agile tools (e.g. JIRA).
